This is a refined version of the Modular Wall Light. I've created a collection for this since I'll be adding a bunch of new attachments. Everything will be available in The Rail collection here.
Two main updates:
- Set screws now have larger threads that should hold up better over time and screw in easier.
- Decreased the thickness of knob on the set screws.
- Planters have been updated with a more refined shape instead of just a cylinder.
I'll be updating previous attachments with the new threads, but they all still fit a 1" dowel, so if you've already printed parts from the Modular Wall Light or the Tap Task Lamp, you can still use them!
This is designed to be used with a 1" (or 25mm) dowel, but I've also included a printable dowel that prints in two parts and threads together.
It mounts to the wall with two #8 - #10 x 1" screws spaced 16" apart vertically if using the 3D printed dowel, or 34" apart if using a standard 36" wood dowel. The wall mount collars fit onto the screws with keyhole slots.
A couple notes for successful printing:
- The set screws should be printed with a 99% infill
Supports None needed!
Scaling I wouldn't recommend scaling anything on this one since it's all designed to fit together.
Orientation Everything prints upright with its bottom on the build plate.
Print Settings .2mm layer height 15% grid infill (99% for the set screw) 2 walls
