Introducing the Pavilion Lamp

The Pavilion Lamp's design is drawn from traditional Chinese architecture and their garden pavilions. The form features a floor base, hexagonal shape with two panel types that form the pavilion, and an eaved roof to top fit everything together. The lamp creates a cosy mood and calm touch in any space. Printed in PLA, the model is designed to be modular and is assembled without any tools required :)

What's Included

9 modular components Leg Plate The base foundation. Four feet that raise the lamp slightly off the surface. Ground Slab The base of the model. Sits on top of the leg plate and houses the central socket hole. Pavilion Wall Panels (3x of Panel 1, 3x of Panel 2) Six lattice-inspired panels fitting with interlocking joints to form the hexagonal structure. Friction Collar A friction-fit ring that seats inside the floor slab hole. The lamp socket is held up snugly in place without screws or fixings. Light Diffuser The paper shade that slides inside the pavilion acting as the light diffuser. Roof Plate The eaved roof cap piece which locks the assembly together.

Assembly Order

  1. Connect the leg plate to the ground slab
  2. Join all six wall panels at their interlocking joints to form the hexagon — there should be 3× Panel 1 and 3× Panel 2, with Panel 1 and Panel 2 always adjacent to each other (order is Panel 1, Panel 2, Panel 1, Panel 2, Panel 1, Panel 2)
  3. Lock the panel structure down onto the floor slab
  4. Feed the lamp socket cable up through the hole in the base from below
  5. Insert the socket into the friction collar
  6. Press the friction collar snugly into the floor slab hole
  7. Screw in the E27 LED light bulb in the lamp cord
  8. Slide the light diffuser inside the pavilion and fit it snugly with the grooving in the ground slab
  9. Connect the roof plate down to lock everything in place
