TZe Label Tape Canister
3D printed containers for Brother TZe label tape storage
- 3 different sizes, for housing 5, 10, or 12 TZe tapes.
- separate or shared compartments for housing extra thick tapes.
- lid with window option to quickly see the tape types inside.
- clip on lid that stays firm, yet is easy to take off.
Printing
- choose one size (5, 10, or 12) and print one of the lids and one of the bases.
- print with 0.4mm or 0.6mm nozzle at layer heights up to 0.3mm and 0.4mm respectively for fast printing
- enable "detect thin walls" if using 0.6mm nozzle
- to save material, you can use 10% rectilinear infill with 0 degree fill angle. With a 0.6mm nozzle you can print only 1 perimeter
Where to get the labels? (affiliate links)
Brother P-Touch Cube label maker: US, EU/DE, UK, Canada. Often on sale! Requires batteries or charger. Prints on up to 12mm or 1/2" wide tape. Get the Plus version to print wider labels.
TZe labels: US, EU/DE, UK, Canada.
More US labels: color labels, more colors, iron-on fabric labels, ribbon fabric labels.
More EU labels: color labels, pastel and glitter, iron-on fabric labels, ribbon fabric labels.
Asia labels (worldwide shipping): label packs, FX labels, various size labels (up to 12mm wide work on both label makers), iron-on fabric labels, ribbon fabric labels.
Troubleshooting For the lid clip to work, printer needs to be well calibrated, with a flat and leveled build plate and extrusion calibration. If the lid is still difficult to take off, try filing the lid clips. If the lid releases by itself, try increasing XY Size Compensation. For safety precautions, I don't recommend holding the full box by the lid.

I really like these. I also have 18mm and 24mm tapes. Could there be cases for them too?
I printed the 5+5, and didn't realize that the slots are for the narrower tape. It would be great to have an update of this for the 24mm (0.94") tape rolls like this
Any chance for a set of STLs where the bottom of the box isn't so thin? 1.0 mm is just to thin? I've broken the box bottom twice just removing it from the build plate.
If you size it for 7 of the tapes using your shared base, you will be able to fit 5 of the wide tapes or 3 each of the narrow and wide.
Very Nice Design and Thank you so much, Designer
Very Cool Practical 3D Prints! 😎
