I've had quite a few requests for a free standing version of The Rail, so here it is! The tripod attachment can be attached to the dowel using two #8x1 screws. The hole for the vertical dowel goes all the way through the attachment, so you can position it wherever you want on the dowel. Each leg can be secured to the attachment with screws as well, although it's not entirely necessary. When using screws, make sure you pre-drill using an 1/8" drill bit.

I have included attachments for 1" dowels as well as 25mm dowels. There is also a 4-legged attachment if you prefer that look.

For the legs, I used the same size dowel I used for the vertical one, and cut them into 10" lengths using a miter box and hand saw set (you can find these at any hardware store). You can also just buy shorter dowels if you don't want to cut them.

I have also included optional feet caps that can be glued on to the ends of the legs.

Supports None needed!

Scaling I wouldn't recommend scaling since these are meant to attach to a 1" or 25mm dowel.

Overall, the models are very high quality and print beautifully. I’ve attached photos—they look great. However, there’s a noticeable defect on the top of each model. Considering the subscription isn’t cheap, I hope these issues will be addressed in future releases.

Used the artists recommended specifications and things seem sturdy. No plants in them yet, but the seem sturdy. I did have one tripod break on me as I was adding a screw into the dowel, but that's on me. Went slower with the rest. Be sure to pre-drill the dowel as the artist recommends. Lofted Goods stuff sure isn't the fastest to print, but it is well worth the wait in my opinion.

Also, if you use the dowel wedges, print them on their large flat side. I didn't for the first few and the tiny footprint of the layers makes them easy to break when printed vertically.

I implemented a number of the artists various pots, including ones intended for wall mounting, as the dovetails still match up.

Thank you for the great and beautiful work, Lofted Goods! So happy you changed the chamfer to a fillet on the one leg of the tri-pod.

I drilled the center of the vertical dowel to match the same magnets I purchased for the wall sconces, and simply superglued them to the printed cap. If I could suggest one design improvement, provide a different (cap) model, different from the legs, do accept one or two two magnets, with a slightly deeper outer edge. This makes it easy for those I gifted these to this holiday to re-arrange the planters and accessories as they wish.

EDIT: One other suggestion/request, Any thoughts on modeling a LED holder like you have linked in your sconce lights? I think it would be awesome to illuminate the planters individually are as one desires. Besides, I bout 20 of the lights because they were on sale (through your link), and not sure I will ever use them all. This is not intended to serve as a grow light, but as an accent light.

Seriously, amazing concept with the rail, thanks a lot:) I suggest inserting the dowel fully into the tripod, i didnt and it shakes a little bit.

Looking forward for new models.

I'm curious is there a reason why three of the four ends are filleted, while one is chamfered on the Rail Tripod.stl

I am looking for the file that has the dove tail bracket to hold the pots to the dowel. I have downloaded the files for the planters, the tripod and the rail assembly but can not locate the file that contains the dove tail bracket to hold the pot to the assembly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I have the same issue @LoftedGoods. I downloaded the ZIP but it does not seem to contain the dowel to attach planters (the v2 version of the planter does but I'm looking for the wedge version). The planter itself you linked also does not contain the attachment
