Design & Concept: I designed the Kagami shade to be the perfect visual partner for the Hoshi base. While the base provides a rugged, volcanic foundation, the Kagami shade offers a clean, cylindrical contrast with a refined rhythmic pattern. The name "Kagami" refers to the way the micro-geometry interacts with light, creating a shimmering effect across the surface of the print. When illuminated, the thin walls allow the filament's color to pop, while the fine vertical ridges diffuse the light evenly for a warm and inviting look.

Perfect Diffusion: Engineered with thin walls to act as a natural diffuser, softening the light for a cozy ambiance. Seamless Compatibility: Designed to fit perfectly onto the Hoshi - Lamp Base for a complete, cohesive lighting fixture. Modern Minimalist Form: A classic cylindrical shape that highlights the intricate digital texture of the model.

Hardware Required: Hoshi - Lamp Base: This shade is designed to sit atop the Hoshi base. LED Bulb: I highly recommend using a low-heat LED bulb to ensure the longevity of the 3D printed shade.

Printing Recommendations: Material: Translucent or Pastel PLA works beautifully to let the light through. Use a light peach or mint green for a soft glow, as shown in the photos. Vase Mode: This model is optimized for Spiral Vase Mode to ensure a seamless finish and perfect light transmission. Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.20mm is ideal for capturing the fine micro-texture. Bottom Layers: 0 (if using as a sleeve) or 4-5 (if you want a closed top, depending on your slicer settings). Supports: None. This is a 100% support-free print.
