SAKURA | Pendant Light E26/27
SAKURA | Pendant Light E26/27
After designing the scalable SAKURA pencil holder, I kept looking at it from all angles and thought it would make a great pendant light.
So here it is! A floral pendant light built from three intersecting circles, gradually shifting shape throughout the shade.
Light bounces within the intricate inner profile, creating subtle variations that change with the viewing angle.
It prints in vase mode and comes in 2 sizes:
DIMENSIONS (Small) | Ø209 x H150mm DIMENSIONS (Small) | Ø255 x H180mm
You can get the power cords from Amazon here: For Europe: E27 cord: https://amzn.to/3OVrZjK
For the US: E26/E27 cord: https://amzn.to/434c0qZ
3D PRINT SETTINGS: All STL files are already oriented properly. You need to print 2 parts:
- one shade (pick the size you want)
- one base for E26/27 light sockets. No supports or adhesion brim needed.
THE SHADE: You can print the shade in vase mode.
For a 0.8mm nozzle: • activate "vase mode" (spiral vase or spiralize) • Layer height: 0.4mm/layer • Line width: 0.8 to 1mm • Bottom shell layers: 6 (or adjust it to cover a total of 2.4mm if you use a different layer height than 0.4mm)
For a 0.4mm nozzle: • activate "vase mode" (spiral vase or spiralize) • Layer height: 0.2mm/layer • Line width: 0.8 to 1mm • Bottom shell layers: 12
I also added some fuzzy skin to add some surface texture: • fuzzy skin point distance: 0.8mm • fuzzy skin thickness: 0.3mm.
BASE: No particular tricks for the base. I used a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm per layer and 15% infill. Printed in PLA.
Happy printing! Happy printing!
