Round-Eyed Bone Snake (Medium Tightness) - Articulated Snap-Flex Fidget

**Print-In-Place, No Supports, Articulating Fidget Toy**

Slithering straight from the catacombs just in time for Halloween, this Bone Snake aspires to be the spine-chilling superstar of serpents! With its skeletal allure, it's more than ready to coil up and become the eerie centerpiece of your haunted decor or strike a ghoulish pose for you and your friends.  This little one can't sit back and watch the ghosts, ghouls, and dragons have all the fall-time fun on their own.

This versatile, articulated fidget toy features the Mimetics 3D “Snap-Flex” joint, enabling each body segment to move fluidly OR lock into a fixed position for an optimized fidget experience.  The sound of the *SNAP* provides pleasing auditory and tactile feedback that you're doing something right.  

To unlock a jaw-dropping good time after printing, pinch the sides of the Round-Eyed Bone Snake's jaws together until they click and free up its cute little maw.

This Bone Snake is the second creation in a series of Snap-Flex models by Mimetics 3D, and it's available for free for a limited time.

**Tolerance:**
To accommodate different printer settings and filaments, I’m uploading 3 different tolerance levels for the Bone Snake to ensure that you get the best fitting, most satisfying “SNAP” with each of your prints.

This is the *Medium* tolerance model.  For the other tolerances, please check out the other versions of the model below:

**Print Settings:**
0.2mm Layer Height
3 Wall Loops
3 Top Shell Layers
No Supports, Print-In-Place at 100% scale.  Going any smaller may disable the Snap-Flex joint.

These tolerances are TIGHT and you'll likely have to snap each segment a few times before it's loose enough to snap/unsnap easily. I recommend you use regular PLA or PLA+. ABS might be even better, but I haven't tried it yet.

Silk PLA is a bit softer and may not click as nicely. I'd also be more concerned about silk PLA holding up to the wear and tear.
If you print this in resin, please let me know how it turns out. I imagine you would need a more flexible/less stiff resin for it to work appropriately.

Planetary Quick Container

**Planetary Quick Container**

When you hold the middle section on this container and turn the bottom section, it opens up quickly due to the planetary gears on the bottom.

**How it works**
The bottom outside is the ring gear, the outer top part is the carrier, and the inner part is the sun gear.  Rotating the bottom segment while holding the top segment results in the planetary gears rotating inner shell at a 3:1 ratio.  

**Print instructions**
It’s designed for a .4mm nozzle, .2mm layer heights, no supports at 100% but there is some bridging.  There is a 6mm hex hole in the sun gear to free up the gears if necessary.

**Remove the brims** 
There are four built in brims attached to the sun gear that will need to be removed.
