I created this clamp! I don't know if something similar exists, honestly haven't looked, I was just sort of brainstorming to get better at designing. I think they call it compliant mechanism idk.

Use full walls for the wedge to make it strong.

Its fully 3D printable and lacks the weakness issues with some threaded designs I've seen, making it very strong.

This idea came to me after a ton of deliberation for the laptop shelf I've been working on and I'm super happy with it. Of course with this design you would still need to get a somewhat accurate measurement of the surface to be clamped.

Its still a work in progress and might work best with a grip tape of some kind on the clamp jaws, but it works enough to share. :)
