Turn any old T-shirt into your next halloween costume! Simply press the snap fastener through a freshly made hole into a scale... and repeat.
Start from the top down and place the next row offset a bit to cover the seam from the row above. Scale your scales as desired to use less scales per costume.
I've weaved my own chainmail shirt. A daunting project that turned out to be a very enjoyable process. It took several Netflix series worth of time to finish. These 3D printed scales should simplify the process.

fasteners don't fit scales
Printing the fasteners at about 90% Scale seems to work.
