With this tool you can halt door movement in futuristic style, by manually adjustment in spatial placement. The form intrinsically supports the use of elastic/rubber bands as floor-side grip, which also prevents any damage to the floor or doorstop.

Scale the model as necessary. The downloaded standard mesh is somewhat small, but covers most common door gaps. It starts at ~0.75cm and reaches a height of ~2.3cm over a ~9cm functional length.

Future Doorstop

Verticality, a quality that allows us to reach higher. More importantly, it describes the embrace of full-aspect spatial utilization. With this project, you can extrude as many or as few of the objects as you want, depending on how you wish to make use of them.

The tolerance/clearances should allow for a decent amount of scaling up. Consider the models to be in their smallest form as-is, and scale up as desired.

Originally this was supposed to simply be an entry into a plant pot contest, but things got seriously out of hand.

**Updated:** I've added some extra meshes with varying clearance, along with the body and tail sections individually in case you'd like to try out which one is best for you. The original “0204” works for me, but could be a little tight. The numbers roughly correspond to planar and then vertical clearances (i.e. 0.2 mm XY, 0.4 mm bridging), greater is looser.

We can envisage millions of living pods worldwide squirting this out using a soymeal filament (compound retaining plenty of plastic content), so we have food ready to go for end-to-end marathons up to and no further than the security threshold of our 15 minute habitation zones. 

Should be printed at 45deg angle, or vertically,  with tactically placed (paint on in slicer) supports. Slightly ingress the model into the bed for best result. Don't actually eat this if you print it with ABS, PLA taste better. Not sure about nutritional contents in either event.

Small storage box inspired by the cool so-called "ECOCLIC" style cardboard containers that laundry detergent pods are packaged in.

Printed in the right orientation, we can achieve a suitably strong springing tab that functions as a locking mechanism in partnership with a lip on the inside of the lid. The lid has a window allowing quick disconnection.

The orientation of the print means there's some fairly significant bridging involved, so I made an additional version of the box which has some  extra layering that will reduce the overall maximum bridge distance required, without sacrificing much storage space.

While this [type of spring](https://monroeengineering.com/blog/comparison-of-the-different-types-springs/) is typically [used in furniture/upholstery](https://sofa-advisor.com/what-are-zig-zag-springs/), applications to be tensioned and support weight acting normally, preventing sag. This general shape can be very useful in other ways. While it won't match the properties of a typical coil spring, the profile has a lot of potential in the 3D printing context.

One example that inspired this script is this [Battery Holder by YXC](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2668159). Really great work and cool design.

## Latest Update - 15th June '23
Fairly confident I've got angles and "roundness" factor working reliably now. Still think this should just be Beziers or some other point to point thing. We could see later.

## Changed to using pow() function to see if it actually works on this web-app but I think there's numerous differences in the syntax. Download and use OpenSCAD alright.

- Endless refactor of sloppy code.
- Parameterized tolerance/clearance.

- Better assertions/tests to flag where use parameters will result in bad geometry (overlaps/not-manifold and so on).

I took the [original model](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5174566) and used the decimate modifier in Blender, with some manual adjustments before and after, so it can be very easily printed with no supports.

I enjoyed printing this with a slightly larger layer-height (**0.26mm**) for a very pleasing coarser look.

Circular fastening, cylindrical gripper, variable diameter connector, [jubilee clip](https://www.jubileeclips.co.uk/products/original/), hose clamp or adjustable radial constriction device that will grip firmly around a cylinder, a rod or pole - typically used to secure a hose to an outlet. Could be incorporated into other models.

# Sizing

The size in the filename of each mesh represents the interior radius of the hoop, when the fastener is printed and slightly open. This will fasten down to ~1mm less than the initial state at max.

Leave a comment or send a message if you'd like me to export some other size. I got about a third of the way to doing this in OpenSCAD before [giving up](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tangent_lines_to_circles#Tangent_lines_to_two_circles), so it's not user parametrizable as of now.

# Snap-fit Pi Pico Caddy

## Info
Snap-fit caddy/cassette/cage for the Pi Pico, intended to secure the board to a 3D printer that has 2020 extrusions as part of its assembly (such as Ender 3 models). Alternatively useful as a fashionable outfit for the Pico. 

Optional deeper version encompasses the headers fully, and either version can be printed without the 2020 arms.

## Warning!
Snug fit. If your board has headers/pins, you need to be very delicate. Carefully separate the arms while holding the caddy, without snapping them off, and help the board gradually climb along the length thereof.

It goes without saying that you shouldn't attach it in the way of gantry movement, like I have in some of my demonstration images.

- Print the basket with expected orientation.

Optional: Reduce printing time for the basket piece by using an extrusion width slightly larger than the nozzle, and reduce layer height.

I managed to get a beautiful result for 7~ hrs using my Ender 3 V2.
