Streamlined Breather Mask, by Perihelion Prints

======

This architectural face mask mimics the look of a sci-fi respirator mask. Suitable for masquerade parties, cyberpunk cosplay, concerts/raves, or as a cover for a disposable face mask.

Despite being fully closed at the front, you should be able to breathe through the chin-level opening at the back.

Please note: It should be obvious, but this mask does not offer respiratory/medical protection. It is only a fashion accessory. Although you may be able to fit a disposable face mask behind it.

======

For attachment to head, use elastic cord or ribbon. For fitting, place the mask on your face, lining it up with your nose and the sides of your face.

Ideally you will want to make a strap around your neck and another above your ears, as shown in the pictures. Measure how much ribbon you'l need to go around your neck from the bottom of the mask, then add a bit more and cut two equal halves. Glue one to each side of the mask, and use the leftover length to tie both pieces into a knot/bow behind your head. Repeat this process for the ear straps.

======

Scaled to fit most adult heads.

Be prepared to do a test print to check the fit, especially around your nose and chin.

Sculpted in Blender. STL and .blend files included. Dimensions in millimetres.

======

0.20mm layer height recommended.

Use supports where appropriate. Depending on the orientation, you may not need that much support material, and you may be able to get away with regular (non-organic) supports.

15% infill tested. PLA recommended.

Filament Usage (estimated): 40g

Printing Time (estimated): 2h

^ Estimates based off slicing for Prusa MK3.9. Your mileage may vary.

======

If you find the mask is too thin, you can edit the Blender file to increase its thickness (look for the "Solidify Modifier"). And feel free to reach out with any questions.
