#gridfinity Testclip holder

Simple holder with compartments for AA and AAA batteries. It requires a minimum amount of plastic to print. 
I don't like the idea of having different organizers for these two types of battery so I created this design to keep them all in one place. You can also print dividers to separate discharged batteries and keep them in the same place.

Battery Holder with optional Gridfinity base

This set of boxes is designed specifically for storing cables. They have a lightweight design to use a minimum amount of plastic. The extended container's edge prevents cables from slipping out. 
These boxes are alterations of my [original design](https://thangs.com/designer/Dead.Pixel/3d-model/Cable%20Organizing%20Box%20-1131054) but are adapted to work with Gridfinity modular system. I tried to keep them as light as possible and they are just a little bit bigger and heavier than the previous. But if you are not interested in using grid system I would recommend to stay with original model.

The boxes are made in 6 sizes and have variations with or without slots for magnets on the bottom side. All of them are two slots wide but vary in length.

**Printing recommendation**

I recommend using PETG or PLA+ for better durability but regular PLA will also work fine.
Should be printed without supports. 
You need magnets of 6mm diameter and 2mm thickness for variant with magnet slots. But it is not necessary to use magnets in every slot. It's up to you to decide where to place them.

**Compatibility**

This organizer is ideally suited for managing short (up to several meters) flexible cables. It is **not suitable** for thicker or stiffer cables like HDMI, DisplayPort, and similar types.

Gridfinity Cable Organizing Boxes

Gridfinity Skeleton is a baseplate with the goal to use as little filament as possible. Since the baseplate will be generally be placed on a hard flat surface the baseplate does not need to resist bending but rather needs to be strong in the horizontal plane. With that in mind a LOT can be removed from the original design while still holding the bins well.

At only 16 grams for a 5x5 grid it's worth giving a try!

 

Let me know what you think and if there are requests for certain sizes. I have also included the step files so that it's easier to make improvements on my design.

Ever wished you could pack your gridfinitised workshop for some on-the-go action? Well this is a solution. I wouldn't call it the solution; its grossly overcomplicated, requires post processing, and has not been field tested at all. If you can look past these shortcomings, then enjoy!

The default configuration is 3x5 slots, and you can try different dimensions yourself: https://a360.co/3NkyOrE. The number of parts however, remains the same per "layer" regardless of your chosen dimensions.

Per Layer:

            ## → Thickness of toolbox layers [integers] [ 03 < n < 06 ]
                     ######## → Part name
Values left as ‘##’ signify that the part works for all variants of this dimension.

This is my take on Zack's Cthulhu-sized dremel bit storage model. For those that can't find it, Zacks model got taken down (I think he had to get dat $ from thangs) so Rogarat added the original model to their remix files here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4623056/files. I will include it here as well. Tesser-Wolf has a smaller (more sane) remix of Zack's model here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5269037. I remixed the latter to fit into the gridfinity system as well as to mount a stand for my flex shaft motor, and a spot for a chuck key. I'll likely add a gridfinity remix of Zack's original model in the future, but for now, this model hold about 1/2 and will likely suit the average dremel wielding debonair. 

It's printing now, Ill post photos when it's finished.
