Wish your loved ones a Merry Christmas with a print-in-place rock and roll Santa card!
I recommend using a smooth bed plate (Smooth PEI, PEO, PEY) so that the inside of the card has a nice design, and is easier to write on with a permanent marker for your greetings.
This card is completely print-in-place, including the ‘Merry Christmas’ greeting on the inside of the card. If you are using a Bambu printer / slicer, then the included 3MF file has everything set up including the filament swaps for the print to be sent to your printer.
If you are not using a Bambu printer, you can download the STL, and please follow the instructions below:
Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.16mm with a base layer of 0.2mm
Filaments Used:
- PLA Kingroon Black Transmission Distance: 0.4
- PLA META Sunlu Red Transmission Distance: 4
- PLA BambuLab Basic BambuLab Green Transmission Distance: 8
- PLA Kingroon White Transmission Distance: 8
Swap Instructions:
- Start with White
- At layer #2 (0.36mm) swap to Black
- At layer #4 (0.68mm) swap to Red -At layer #6 (1mm) swap to BambuLab Green
- At layer #8 (1.32mm) swap to White for the rest.
Post Processing: Not really a lot of post processing needed. When the print bed has cooled down, take the card off and carefully bend the card in half where the thin seam is. You should not need to heat it or anything, but if you do, you can use a lighter to go over the seam slowly and then bend it into a card form.
