Hexagonal Pyramid - 1 - Piranesi - Stacking
The Piranesi Hex Pyramid is a modular, stackable light-sculpture (or sculpture-only object) built from repeating hexagonal pyramid units. The geometry was developed through iterative parametric modeling in Rhino + Grasshopper - a rule-based system that keeps the form crisp, symmetrical, and scalable while preserving the same design language at any height.
Conceptually, it’s part architectural fragment and part totem: a contemporary interpretation of Piranesi-like massing, sacred-geometry rhythm, and meditative repetition. In light form, the stack reads as a faceted lantern; as a sculpture, it becomes a precise object with sharp shadow lines and a calm, grounded presence.
