**Print-in-place articulated Tiny Owl!**

My smallest design up today 😁

Considerations:

-   It's small and articulated. That means that **good bed adhesion is required**. For tricky filaments that usually have worse adhesion I recommend using some kind of glue (my personal favourite is [3DLac spray](https://www.3dlac.com/en/3dlac/3dlac-product/)).
-   Because of its size, I recommend printing them at 0.16 mm layer height. 0.2 mm should work as well.
-   It has a small **built-in brim** for the wings. Easy to remove after printing.
-   It has a couple of support dots in the armpits to help stabilize the wings during printing. It may feel a bit hard to open the wings on the first try, but should be loose after that.

**EDIT:** After several requests, I've added a version with a larger gap for the head articulation. You can find them with the suffix “XG”.

**Tip:** If you feel it too tight or too loose, or even if you want to scale them, you can play with the XY compensation in the slicer to get the right tolerances.

Articulated Cobra + Pencil Holder

Cute mini Octopus, articulated and printed without additional supports.

**It's designed so it can be printed at once. No assembly or supports required**.

Many different STL files, with straight or spiral tentacles, both with and without included support.

**UPDATE!!** v6 fixes some mesh errors, improves bed adhesion, and adds the [replaceable tentacle](https://youtube.com/shorts/on69shi7et0) and the HUGE octopus print.

To print the small replaceable tentacle, be sure to enable "print thin walls" in the slicer. No need for additional supports. Settings are the same as the [Octopus 2.0 tentacle replacement video](https://youtu.be/zj3bOYTX1Go)

**Cali-Dragon!**

Is your printer able to produce quality prints? When printing organic models you don't really care about precision and tolerances, you want them to look pretty. This small print allows you to test:

- Surface smoothness (aka layer consistency)
- Stringing
- Small perimeters
- Overhangs
- Ghosting
- Details
- MMU (not tested by myself)

Can be printed with no infill at all.

**Design updated to v4 for a tighter tail joint**

The non-movable versions are intended for children, as teeth are quite sharp. Or just in case you have trouble printing the movable one.

**Invisible Death**

Symbol of endings, but even more important, a symbol of new beginnings. Changes may happen any day, in any form. Even if you can't see them.

Designed to be printed in place without supports (it can be a torture test if you are checking your printer's curling behavior).

Articulated Lizard v2

Portable version of the famous game Santorini.
The game board is embedded in the box, which contains all the pieces to play.

My recommendation for printing:
- 40 tower blocks (up to 44 fit in the box, but very tight)
- 16 Dome
- 3-4 pairs of meeples
- 1 Box, 1 cover and 1 board

After printing just glue the board to the box cover, and enjoy!

**Print-in-place Articulated Dragon!!**

Huge, very flexible, and printed in one piece without supports. Just the mustache needs to be assembled after printing ([see video example](https://youtu.be/le-ucwUBw5E)).

It can be scaled up or down as much as you want (the limit is your printer capabilities).

For delicate prints, such as tiny sizes, metal sintering or just if you need extra strength for the horns, I've added the "Short Horns" version.

**Articulated Snake and Rattlesnake!!**

Body printed in one piece, with optional tongue and functional rattle. [Watch here some finished examples](https://youtu.be/SiUXJBqRvSc).

At the original scale they need just  16 X 16 cm to be printed, but they are more than 80 cm long! Of course, they can be printed as big as you want (for smaller prints some articulations may not work as intended).

For belt printers, the articulations work better if the snakes are printed from tail to head.

The tongue and rattle are designed to snap fit, but you may need to adjust a bit the scale of these two depending on your printer tolerances. I recommend printing them separately.
