Chess - Intermediate The classic game of chess! This is my design, a book that transforms into a chess board. I spent a lot of time making sure I had a design for chess that capture the classic elegant feel of the game, this was like version 6.

Disguised as a book This design blends in on your bookshelf or table. But when you're ready to play, turn the cover and you're presented with your chess pieces. The book folds open and stands up to form the board. The pieces magnetize to the board and to the cubbies.
Magniflip I designed geometry inside the chess pieces that allows the magnet to flip specifically for this design. That means the magnet polarity of the chess pieces doesn't matter. Some magnet polarities matter in the board still though, so make sure to pay attention to those.
Easy Storage Since this looks like an book when you're not playing. You can store it anywhere. And since the covers hold together with magnets, all your pieces are secure inside. Just open the book to play, and shut the book to put it away.

would you mind sharing the base? I have issues with sliding as well!
I found adding the rubber feet stopped the sliding.

What an awesome addition to the collection!! I have two suggestions if I may. First, a version with some details on the covers. They have a size that would look lovely with an old book style cover imo. Second and most importantly, please make the text on the spine editable!! Would be a game changer for members from non-English speaking countries like myself.

now i was about to ask AI how to match the polarity of the magnets like i did with your other model ,until i read that polarity doesnt matter the magnet flips! now that is pure genius!
Some magnet polarity still matters though so make sure you're a little careful

Hi, When you insert the magnets into the slots that hold the pieces. It helps to make sure they are seated all the way into the hole. You can use a flathead screw driver or something similar to push them down as far as you can. That way the pieces sit all the way into the slots
I did push them all the way in and still have this issue
