PlayBook'd LUDO
Instructions Hardware Filaments
The classic game of LUDO is now a book!
Since starting the PlayBook’d series, we have had many requests to design LUDO and now we have. After a couple of iterations, I landed on this design that lets the colorful pieces really stand out on the covers and the pages.
LUDO is simple to learn, but every turn can change the game. Race your pieces around the board, send opponents back to start, and try to be the first player to bring all your pieces safely home.
Disguised as a Book
This design blends right into your bookshelf, coffee table, or game shelf. But when you're ready to play, turn the page, open the book, and you're playing LUDO.
Easy Storage
No bulky box. No loose pieces scattered everywhere.
The covers hold together with magnets, keeping everything secure inside when the game is closed. The game pieces store neatly inside the book, making it easy to pack away, display, or bring with you.
How to Play
- Each player chooses a color and takes the matching pieces and places them in their start.
- Players take turns rolling the die.
- Roll a 6 to move one of your pieces out of start and onto the board.
- Move your pieces around the track toward your home lane.
- If you land on a space occupied by an opponent’s piece, the opponent's piece is sent back to their start.
- If you land on a space occupied by your own piece, you form a blockade. While pieces form a blockade, opponents pieces can't move through it.
- Once a piece completes the full path around the board, it enters into the home lane. To enter your home you must roll an exact dice roll. (To go three spaces you need a 3)
- The first player to get all of their pieces home wins.
