This is a simple air vent made for holes of 80mm in diameter. It's meant to be glued or siliconed into place. It's job is to allow and adjust airflow into the house via the adjustable disk (and a hole through the wall).

Generally these sit in the basements and bathrooms of older homes to keep airflow going and prevent moisture and mold growth. But you can find them anywhere passive extra ventilation might be needed.

Needs one M6 bolt of approx 30 mm length and one M6 threaded insert of around 7.8mm outside diameter. A M6 nut is optional but adds rigidity to the lid and functions as a set minimum distance.
