A selection of realistic fir branches!

Download includes seven “Spruce Center Branches” ranging from 130-160mm, and thirteen “Spruce Offshoot Branches” ranging from 50-110mm, each with unique needle distribution. Models can also be mirrored along the X axis in your slicer to double the number of options.

The center branches have attachment holes for up to four offshoot branches, allowing you to create large numbers of unique clusters.

These models are designed for resin printing. Print upright as oriented on the build plate. You will notice that each branch has a slight curvature. Aesthetic reasons aside, this also allows you to attach supports to the central stem only.

Do not over-support! The angles of the needles are printable in the upright position; you will only need a few supports to hold the model stable along its length during printing.

Once printed, washed and dried, dip the ends of selected offshoot branches in resin and insert them into the holes in the center branches before curing.

Two holiday-themed options have been provided for mounting the branches.

The “Wreath Clip” allows the branches to be secured to a wreath form. This clip is designed for spiralized printing with an FDM printer but will also work as a standard FDM print or even as a resin print. See demo video here.
