This design is a submission to the “3D Printing Industry Awards Trophy Design Contest” being hosted by Thangs. 3D Printing Industry (3DPI) launched the 3D Printing Industry Awards in 2016 to celebrate excellence in additive manufacturing and showcase the applications, enterprises, systems, and individuals driving the industry forward.

This is an experimental design that explores transition of a set of design elements from an ordered to a disordered state. The cubic lattice structure at the top transitions to a Voronoi lattice at the base. The nameplate is positioned vertically on one corner. It is designed to showcase the technical capabilities of additive manufacturing, specifically SLS printing.
