DIY Filament Runout & Jam Sensor

DIY Filament Runout/Jam Sensor.

Designed to mount on the front left end of the top 2020 V slot extrusion. This is best suited for direct drive. For a standard Bowden setup the end cover could be chopped off so this can be mounted at the rear.

Requires PCB microswitch with roller, signal wire, 10K resistor, 3 pin JST-XH connector and crimps, 36mm length of PTFE tube.

Board -> Switch:- S -> C (common) G -> 10K resistor -> NC (normally closed) V -> NO (normally open)

Cut a notch in the PTFE tube for the roller to fit.

This configuration works in Jyers and MRiscoC firmware.
