Pixel Pie Fidgets with Pan
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I felt like it was time for pie 🥧 These Pixel Pie Slices serve up a lot of fun. I have designed 3 different slices - and if you print two of each, you will have a full pie (print two of each so the lattice pattern lines up 😊) I have also designed a pie dish to store them in 🥧
Dimensions of Pie Slice (assembled): 3 ¼ in x 3 ¼ in x 1 ⅓ in Dimensions of Pie Pan: 6 ⅞ in x ⅞ in.
Basic PLA is the best for this print. I don’t recommend PLA Silk or PLA Matte filaments for this print. It is very detailed (on the inside) and the tolerances are small. I printed several of these in these three types of filaments and Basic PLA always printed the best and had smoother “movement” when done.
Layer Height 0.2mm Infill 15% Supports needed in the cavity at the end of the pie slice, for the crust and for the pie pan
Print Plate #1 (Left Pixel Pie Slice): 2 colors, supports in cavity at the end of the slice Print Plate #2 (Middle Pixel Pie Slice): 2 colors, supports in cavity at the end of the slice Print Plate #3 (Right Pixel Pie Slice): 2 colors, supports in cavity at the end of the slice Print Plate #4 (Pie Crust): 1 color, supports added Print Plate #5 (Pie Pan): 1 color, supports added under lip of pan
Note: To print an entire pie, print two of each slice. If you only want one piece of pie I recommend printing the Middle Pie Slice.
To assemble, fit the pie crust onto the end of the pie slice. It should be a snug fit but feel free to add a little super glue if you would like:)
Enjoy! 🥧
