The VESUVIUS Collection features dense herringbone ribs to increase strength while creating a dramatic form.

VESUVIUS 002 is 250 mm tall and 250 mm in diameter at the top. The bottom footprint has a 190 mm footprint. This was designed for use with my 250 mm Floating Drip Tray to catch excess water runoff.

Printing Guidelines

The VESUVIUS series of prints are designed to be printed in vase/spiral mode in your slicer. For full scale I suggest printing with a 1 mm nozzle width (even with a 0.4mm nozzle) and 1.6mm of solid bottom layers. No top layers. Make sure your slicer is not set to close small gaps. In BambuStudio I set the 'Slice gap closing radius' to 0 mm

For the 'wHole' version of the vase mode print, use the maximum number of solid bottom layers before the holes are covered to avoid interfering with the spiral printing. You can also print the version without holes and simply drill/cut your own drainage holes in the bottom after printing if you plan on growing live plants.

I've also included a 'Solid' version for standard printing, with roughly 2mm thick walls. This will be extra strong, but uses much more material, and I've found the 1mm vase mode version to be sufficient, even at this large size.
