Holiday Ornament Sculpts
Today I have four ornament sculpts! these are renders of the models because unfortunately I am having some printer trouble and I didn’t want to wait until I have the printer fixed to release the models. So here we are! I did print all of the models so they have been tested however they lack in my usual quality (thanks to my unruly printer) which is why i’m using the renders.
They come in two versions, one with the loop and one without. You will also see files titled “MPM” (Multi Part Model) these models are split up when they are exported from blender which makes it easy to “paint” them for multi filament printing.
**The axolotl sculpt requires supports. I have tested this one many times while I was trouble shooting my printer. I found the supports print great with the following setting:
Cura Slicer (these are the settings I changed, everything else stays default)
Support structure: Normal
Support placement: touching build plate
Support overhang angle: 60
support density: 40
support interface density: 45
support interface pattern: concentric
Minimum support roof area: 5
Prusa slicer (changed settings)
Overhang threshold: 30
Top contact Z distance: 0.15
Make sure you select support on build plate only!
These support settings worked great for me! However please remember that every printer is different so you might need to tune your supports accordingly.
