XL Santa, (for large build plates) Ok so here's the first of my XL Models. The XL Santa. Made for larger build plates. For smaller build plates please use the Not soo... XL Santa in a separate post This has been a ton of work, with over 80 parts. All parts print separately, please read instructions carefully. Firstly the model is made to be glued. while it will largely stay together without glue there are some parts that won't like the right arm and hat. 0.2 layer, infill 8-10%, for some of the larger pieces in decreased the infill. and smaller pieces increased slightly. The connection pieces..... I went with connecting pieces mainly because its easier to reprint a connecting piece if the size isn't quite right rather than printing a whole new body part. Ive included two sets of connecting pieces. a 0.15mm and a 0.2mm tolerance. While most printers will be fine with a 0.15 and the one i recommend, some may not so please use the 0.2 if parts are tight. I would print one of the smaller parts and its connecting piece to test fitment. the 0.15mm parts are on the plates by default with the 0.2mm parts on a separate plate if needed. Supports.... I printed with normal tree supports enabled with a top z of 0.275, for sup[ports to just fall away. the model isn't support heavy but you will need some with only the arms requiring supports on visible areas. but i was happy with the finish. Building... It's fairly straight forward to put together. I've labeled all parts to the corresponding pieces. If you are struggling then reach out, but i haven't done a specific guide as i believe its fairly straight forward. or checkout my TikTok where there will be a video of the build. Part labelling.... Ive tabled parts left and right, but this is left and right as if you were the santa. so... NOT left and right as you look at it. There are two hand versions, one which holds a sign and the other that's waving. The sign is a multi colour print. As mentioned above all parts print separately, apart from the eyes and tbh i don't know why i didn't do the eyes in pieces. I will try to rectify this and update the file asap. Filaments used, all Bambu Basic, ran, black, white, gold, and brown. the print collectively is over 3 days, and around 3.5KG of filament. below is the 3mf and a compressed file of all the STL's Have fun printing and building, I hope this goes ok and i am a bit nervous to put this out there with so many parts. There are More XL build on the way, the XL Snowman and XL Nutcracker with nearly 200 parts.

I just finished printing this, and while the final model looks great, it took a lot of work on my part to get those results. I put in six hours just remodeling parts, correcting countless 3MF issues in regards to painted parts that shouldn't be which caused AMS woes, repositioning of parts to get cleaner results without the layer lines, fixing the eyes, etc. There are issues I'm unable to correct without the original model such as a visible hole in the left hand. To much work for a $15 model!
