XL Max Max... inspired fan art. Assembly Instructions for XL Max and Not So XL Max Welcome to the assembly instructions for XL Max and Not So XL Max. If you have printed the XL Grinch, you will need XL Max for correct scaling.
If you have printed the Not So XL Grinch, you should use Not So XL Max. The difference between the two Max models is the connector tolerances.
Max is not as large as the other XL models; however, he has been scaled specifically to match the Grinch correctly. As with other XL models, Max assembles using connectors. There are only two connector sizes.
The model does require glue, but a dry fit is highly recommended first, as the model will hold together without glue during test assembly. Large internal cavities have been included to reduce filament usage. Some supports are required, but they are minimal. There are a few small parts, so please ensure you have good bed adhesion and a clean build plate before starting. Filaments Used

  • Bambu Basic Brown
  • Maroon Red
  • Silver
  • White
  • Black Assembly Instructions
  1. Body
    • The body prints in one piece.
    • Insert the first large connector into the back of the body to attach the tail.
  2. Collar
    • Assemble the collar by inserting 12 silver domes into the cavities around the collar.
  3. Upper Body & Head
    • Insert two large connectors into the top of the body.
    • Slide the collar over these connectors.
    • Attach the head using the same connectors.
  4. Ears
    • Insert two small connectors on either side of the body.
    • Attach the ear bases here.
    • The long ear is on the right when facing the model, and the short ear is on the left.
  5. Hat Base
    • Insert one small connector into the top of each ear.
    • Insert two large connectors into the top of the head.
    • Slide the base of the hat onto the head and ears.
  6. Hat Top
    • Use the final large connector to attach the top of the hat.
  7. Hat Tail & Bobble
    • Assemble the hat tail and bobble using the last two small connectors.
    • Slide this assembly onto the main hat piece.
  8. Eyes
    • The eyes do not use connectors.
    • Assemble in this order: white → brown → black.
    • Pay close attention to the part names to ensure correct left and right placement.
    • Slide the completed eyes into the front of the face. šŸŽ‰ Congratulations! You have successfully completed Max.

Oh I would love to print this one, only problem, my print bed is only 256x256... Any chance that future XL models could be split, so that they can be printed on standard printers? I know, this is a lot of work, but a big XL reindeer or Max would be the show stopper ;) Thanks for all you do, even when an XL for standard printers is not possible ;)Happy New Year and keep up the good work
