XL Girl Elf šŸŽ€ Introducing the XL Elf Girl: Ready for Large Format Prints! The long-awaited girl version of our XL Elf is here, specially designed for build plates larger than 320 x 320 x 320 mm. Before You Begin: Essential Tips

  • Assembly: While glue is ultimately required, we highly recommend a test build first. You can assemble about 95% of the model without glue, which helps ensure you have all the parts and understand the placement.
  • Part Organization: We've grouped all parts by color onto separate build plates, each accompanied by its correct connector. Feel free to rearrange, and if your plate is larger, you can optimize space for even more parts of the same color.
  • Supports: Supports are necessary. We've included auto tree supports, but experienced users may choose to paint critical supports only. Crucially, set the top Z distance to 0.275 mm to ensure supports easily separate.
  • Connectors & Tolerance: Connectors have a generous 0.12 mm tolerance (most printers handle 0.1 mm easily). If connectors feel tight:
    • Filament Check: Different brands/colors (e.g., Bambu Red vs. White) can have slight tolerance variations.
    • Printer Tolerance: If consistently tight, reduce the scale of each connector by 1-2%.
    • Test Print: Strongly recommended: Print a few small parts and their connectors to check fitment beforeprinting the large pieces.
  • Infill Settings: The 3mf file sets large parts to 5% infill and smaller parts to 8-10%. You can adjust this, but generally, use less infill for larger parts and more for smaller ones. šŸ› ļø Let's Build! (Step-by-Step Guide) If you've built the boy version, the process will be familiar, though about 15% of the model has new parts.
  1. Base & Legs: Start with the base and insert two connectors, then attach the boot. Slot the two long leg connectors into the boot, then slide on the boot cuff.
  2. Alternating Legs: Organize the red and white leg parts. Note the taper and offset connector to determine placement and orientation. Alternate colors working your way up.
  3. New Part: Skirt: The skirt is the first new piece; it rests on top of the long leg connectors.
  4. Skirt Ring: Attach the red ring to the bottom of the skirt using the four connectors (before or after attaching the skirt itself).
  5. Torso: Attach the belt and its connectors, followed by the main body and its connectors.
  6. Arms & Collar (Critical Step!): You MUST insert the upper arms before placing the collar. Once the collar is on, you won't be able to fit them. Once the upper arms are in place, add the collar and its connectors.
  7. Head & Hair: The head design has changed. Connect the back hair to the head, then slot the head/back-hair assembly onto the collar.
  8. Hat: Attach the bottom hat, then the top hat. The bulk of the model is now complete. ✨ Finishing Details (Small Parts & Accessories)
  • Arms & Hands: Complete the rest of the arms, working down to the hands. Connector arrangements are different on each hand to ensure correct side placement.
  • Face Details (New Design): The head features a single eyebrow and hair that sweeps across the face. The side hair also sweeps back. Use connectors to attach these pieces.
  • Eyes (Left vs. Right!): Be organized. Slot the pieces in: white, brown, then black. Only the final eye placement onto the face requires connectors.
  • Pigtails (New Addition): The pigtails are split. They consist of three hair sections and two bow sections, connected by one long connector per pigtail. The parts are named, but the sequence is: bottom hair → bottom bow → middle hair → top bow → top hair. Finish with two connectors and attach to the back hair.
  • Candy Cane: Use the three square connectors (one long, three short). The stem parts are interchangeable. The curved section is straightforward, but requires glue.
  • Present Box: This is last year's box with a small modification for the right hand.
    • Base ribbon snaps over the base.
    • Top ribbon snaps over the top.
    • The very small ribbon connector goes through the top from the inside.
    • The bow clips onto this connector from the outside. Press the connector firmly from the inside and the bow's center from the outside. If it's difficult, apply the tiniest bit of heat.
    • Attaching to Hand: The box clips into the hand. Press firmly on the inside center of the box base, either side of the hole, as the base has a small amount of flex. Filaments Used (Examples): Bambu Basic Beige (skin), Mistletoe Green, Red, White, Black, and Gold. Print Settings:0.2 mm layer height. Watch the Build: A short build release video will be available on TikTok. Enjoy the build!
