Payment Wand
Payment Wand The wand comprises of a number of parts. 2 style of star top, a plain and with spheres 5 different lengths of shaft 2 different handle styles, ribbed and plain And lastly 3 different ends. Plain, plain loop, and jewelled loop. All the threads in the 3mf a pre configured with a reinforcement cylinder. it is a separate part that prints at a higher infill to the rest of the object. If you are using the STL, once imported into slicer. Right click and object and split to parts. Click on each part and when you see the cylinder highlighted click that part and set a separate infill. This isn’t essential but adds strength to the threads. To also help protect threads ive made all the threads, thread into an outer cylinder. Again this add extra strength. The biggest thing I hear about wands is the strength of the threads. So there is a number of things to combat this. To assemble Choose you star top, insert you payment card. Choose you shaft length, then screw into the star top. The thread will hold the payment card in place. Next choose your handle and thread onto the shaft. Lastly choose your end. Both the plain and the plain loop just screw on. The jewelled end requires two jewels glued in place. You and the jewels on a separate build plate and I printed these in a transparent red. Look out for other tops in the future that will fit the same shaft and handles 0.2 layer, 15% infill. 30-100% infill on the built in cylinder for strength. Ive set this to 30%
