This is a flat mount that can be used at the bottom as a constraint for any rotating object.

It can be considered as an a-arm for small cars and two holes can be used to attach the mount to the chassis while the big hole can be used to insert the upright into place.

Noob Knob Version 3 upgraded to thermal insert

The Noob Knob was in need of a major update. My first one was designed almost 10 years ago. It's still a 50mm diameter 5 knob handle, with 15.2mm overall depth. This also is still threaded for 1/4" x 20. This new version will now work with thermal set threaded inserts. The inserts are available at Mcmaster Carr https://www.mcmaster.com/93365A162/

These work well being printed in your favorite thermal plastics, from PLA to Nylon. This is a print in place, no supports needed model. I would recommend having several perimeter walls in up the strength and feel of the knob.
