Uppdatera Small Bin Insert
These are snug-fitting six-section inserts for Ikea's Uppdatera line (2024-25) bin style with side handle cutouts and a slightly sloped down front - the small variant (805.040.49).
MODEL DETAILS The label panels are mildly recessed to accept 12mm / .5" TZe Brother Labels. Delete the label part of the assembly if you want just the simple separators. All pictures shown were printed with the recommended settings without support. It is meant to provide a tight friction fit; make sure you press all ends down firmly into the bin to fully seat it into the bin and gaps are minimized at the bottom and outside edges.
USE NOTES AND ATTRIBUTION These were Inspired and remixed from the elegantly useful life.of.bda's Uppdatera Box organizer insert for e.g. tea. That original works great for large packets and pieces where you want the organized items to sit proud above the separator for access - I encourage you to use life.of.bda's model for those use cases.
In practice, I found I needed a version that maximized the height of containment, minimized gaps and shifting. While this isn't liquid tight, once set it can handle very small pieces without spread and stays in place pretty aggressively as long as you don't have any contents that might be small and slim enough to slide into any gaps at the bottom of the bin when it flexes from use.
I've only used Inland PLA+ so far so I can't say for sure, but if liquid-tight was required, then printing in PETG or something else high temp and then running a line of hot glue along the bottom and side ends of the insert to the bin would do quite nicely, especially if you can keep from globing it along the seam so it doesn't drag on sliding parts out.
