3DPI Awards Trophy

This is my submition for the 3D Printing Industry awards trophy contest hosted by Thangs3D. 

This trophy represents the barriers that 3D printing are breaking down. 

This has been really fun to design and I am glad I could be a small part of this event. 

I designed the trophy with SLS printing in mind, knowing this method is capable of actualizing delicate geometries robustly (my appologies to anyone postprocessing it).

The "Community Pillars" Trophy is a symbol of unity and teamwork. At its core, a solid cube represents the foundation of the 3D printing industry. What makes this trophy truly special is how it's held up by a network of hands, portraying the vital role of community support. These hands showcase the collective effort of individuals, groups, and the open-source and open-hardware communities. They come together to lift and sustain the cube, illustrating that without this united support, the industry would falter. It's a reminder of how the strength of the 3D printing world is deeply rooted in the collaborative spirit of its supporters, without whom its progress would not be possible.

This design is a submission to the “3D Printing Industry Awards Trophy Design Contest” being hosted by Thangs. 3D Printing Industry (3DPI) launched the 3D Printing Industry Awards in 2016 to celebrate excellence in additive manufacturing and showcase the applications, enterprises, systems, and individuals driving the industry forward. 

This is an experimental design that explores transition of a set of design elements from an ordered to a disordered state. The cubic lattice structure at the top transitions to a Voronoi lattice at the base. The nameplate is positioned vertically on one corner.
It is designed to showcase the technical capabilities of additive manufacturing, specifically SLS printing.

Spiral Cube 3D PI Awards Trophy 2023

Spiral Cube Trophy is a 3D printable model that lets you create your own unique and elegant trophy for the 3D Printing Industry Awards. It is a trophy that combines geometric shapes and curves to create a stunning visual effect. The trophy has a base with the year “2023” written on it, which is a rotated gear shape that supports the rest of the trophy. It has a stem that connects the base to the top part of the trophy, which is a thin, elongated shape that has a curved profile. The top part of the trophy is a circular shape with a cube in the center, which is suspended using strings. The cube represents a calibration cube with a top hex textured surface and with the text 3D PI that represents the logo of the awards. Blank Challenge Coin

This blank file can be used to design your own coin for any occasion. A competition? Baby shower? Group road trip? Custom tokens for board game night? There's a coin for that!

You can add raised text to the blank rim file on most slicing programs. Add a STL of your favorite logo over the blank core or make your own custom vector art. Customize to your heart's content!

Print a front and back halves, glue them aftewards with super glue or adhesive of choice. Always use PPE when handling harsh chemicals or strong adhesives.

This is my entry for the #3DPIAwards
I was inspired by what every 3D printing nerds loves, the print material! I modeled my award with a spool of filament, pile of powder, and a pool of resin on a pedestal.

I made the model in Blender
I tested the model in cura 5.4.0 to make sure it will slice properly

3DPIA Trophy 2023

Hi friends, this is my fourth model for the thangs3D contest.

This trophy also takes inspiration from shapes, I wanted to create something special and this time create a play of light and shadow, in fact the trophy if looked at from the right angle shows the geometric shape of a rhombus in the central part. 
I hope these designs are up to standard, I would be truly honored if one of my trophies were chosen.

Hi friends, for the thangs contest I have millions of ideas and I'm super excited to be able to participate in an event like this, for this reason I'm creating models without ever stopping with the hope of being chosen for this event which would represent a great honor for me . 

This is the third trophy I've created. 

Very simple inspired by the geometric shapes with which we designers create our works. 
All 3D printing and design is based on geometric shapes and this trophy is intended to be the representation of this. 
Also simple to print with an FDM printer, you just have to use the supports.

I hope you like it and that you understand my basic concept.
