Captive Gemstone Container (Medium)

The faceted “gemstones” in these containers are captive, meaning that once printed they rotate freely within the wall.

This design is particularly suited to printing with multicolour filament as rotating the gemstones allows for visualization of the different filament colours.

This model features the tricolour “Silk Red & Yellow & Blue” filament by Eryone.

Once printed, allow the print to cool. Wiggle each gem back and forth until it breaks from the small internal supports.  Twist it a few times until it turns smoothly.

Wacky Wicker Gerbera Bubble 1

This “Wacky Wicker Gerbera Bubble 1” is part of a playful kitchenware set featuring warped and asymmetrical wicker patterns.

Wicker is a very challenging geometry for 3D printing because of the many bridges and overhangs. This set is made even more challenging with the addition of extra angles and contours.

I made this set to test out my new Lulzbot TAZ Pro, and it did quite well! Use the designs as a “torture test” for your own 3D printer.

The perfect basket for your tomatoes. Use as-is for your cherry tomatoes, size it up for your field tomatoes. They might hold other things too, but this has not been tested.
