This is a replacement spring for a certain design of bag clip which is made in two halves which pivot against each other. The first picture shows the little V shaped spring, that's all you get. The second pictures show the bag clip whose original spring broke, and gives you some idea how it works and how to fit the new one - you can just see the end of one arm of it in the squarish recess next to the round hole in handle of the reassembled clip.
