This is a paintable 1:144 scale model of a Nieuport 16 with a synchronized Lewis gun. Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog.
The Royal Navy Air Service purchased a couple dozen Nieuport 16s, but they were transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, where they were greatly preferred to the D.H.2. Some were fitted with synchronizer gear and the Lewis gun was moved to the top deck of the fuselage.
