⚠️ **Important:** **All common filaments will creep over time.** PLA is the worst, PETG performs better, and we originally believed ABS would hold up long-term — **but after about a month, ABS also begins to lose elasticity**.

Hey, 
this is a big print and project.
This Chess set can transform into an isometric chess board. You can also play hidden and of course normal chess on it.
I designed it to be printable on any printer of any size, you don't even need a multicolor printer.

**Technical Data:**
One Board needs roughly 1.3 kg of Filament but keep in mind we are printing 2 colors.
The print time is roughly 2 days.
I used Sunlu Meta PLA in black and white to printe everything.

I've had quite a few requests for a free standing version of The Rail, so here it is! The tripod attachment can be attached to the dowel using two #8x1 screws. The hole for the vertical dowel goes all the way through the attachment, so you can position it wherever you want on the dowel. Each leg can be secured to the attachment with screws as well, although it's not entirely necessary. When using screws, make sure you pre-drill using an 1/8" drill bit.

I have included attachments for 1" dowels as well as 25mm dowels. There is also a 4-legged attachment if you prefer that look.

For the legs, I used the same size dowel I used for the vertical one, and cut them into 10" lengths using a [miter box and hand saw set](https://a.co/d/dVGe9gE) (you can find these at any hardware store). You can also just buy shorter dowels if you don't want to cut them.

I have also included optional feet caps that can be glued on to the ends of the legs.
