Are you having the same problem with your Rivian compressor door flapping open when driving? I was, so I built this 3D print that goes into the gear guard cable spot, and holds the flap from opening.

I have never done 3D printing. What file do you download? and where would you go to get it printed? Sorry for basic questions. But love the concept to keep compressor door flap closed
Usually I download the .STL, but the STEP file can be more give more accurate prints on precise printers.
For future reference, there should be many local hobby shops, or small scale printers that could print this part relatively affordably. If you want exotic materials then you can order through a reputable online 3d printer, but the cost of shipping will most likely be more than the part depending on the site.
I printed it and it works well. Can I have approval from you to sell them? Makes it easier than 3d scanning the gear guard cable and creating mesh.
Thanks! Printed it in nylon as I thought it would be a little more durable. May end up using magnets, since this won't work if you are actually using both ends of the gear guard.
Maybe I will play with making a part that would go on the gear guard cable and still hold the door shut. I have had my Rivian for 15 months and I think I used my gear guard cable once. Do you use yours a lot?
Has anyone printed it? How did it work for you? Do you have any pictures?
Just printed, it fits like a glove in the gear guard lock slot and holds the flap closed.
Love it! Thanks for the update!
