"Batman Forever," released in 1995, marked a significant turning point in the Batman film franchise.
Directed by Joel Schumacher, this installment saw Val Kilmer taking on the role of the Dark Knight, previously portrayed by Michael Keaton. The film introduced a more colorful and campy tone, departing from the darker atmosphere of Tim Burton's previous Batman films.
"Batman Forever" featured iconic villains Two-Face (played by Tommy Lee Jones) and the Riddler (portrayed by Jim Carrey), as well as the introduction of Robin (Chris O'Donnell) to the franchise. While it received mixed reviews, the film was a commercial success and contributed to the evolution of the Batman film series throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
