The Magic the Gather set, Tarkir Dragonstorm is set to release soon. I ‘ve dabbled with sculpting a dragon before but haven’t had any realistic success. They always come out cartoony. So I set out to look for a dragon head that might be big enough to hold a commander deck. I couldn't add this to the inspiration part but here is the link to the original model I remixed off of. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2127966

I used the head from LJC_Design from thingiverse. It has a creative commons license so I thought it would work well. The face is boxy. So I brought it into Fusion360. I scaled it up so I could fit a deck cavity, tray and spot for magnets in it. I then moved the scaled up face to Blender where I brought in a deck cavity and stls for magnets in. I then cut up the head into 2 parts and boolean'd out the deck cavity and magnet spots.

This is printed with minimal supports on the main part of the head. The box overall is quite large, possibly my largest yet. It fits a single sleeved 100 card deck. There is some more room in here but I think a double sleeved deck would be tight.

I used 4 8mmx2mm magnets and 2 pegs glued into the head to hold things together.

Let me know your thoughts. I may attempt another dragon head due to the amount of dragons that will be out soon.
