This is my new motorized Spool-Rewinder, used for the SMuFF project (or other MMUs) as a replacement for the Filament-Buffer.
It's able to control up to 12 spools (in groups of 4) and it's being controlled automatically by the SMuFF controller board via I2C as needed. Hence, the Raspberry Pi Pico (RP2040) is not needed in this case.
The device uses very small geared motors (up to 12) and (up to 3) Waveshare Raspberry Pi Pico motor controller.
It's based on my Master-Spool design for refill filaments but also comes with some adaptors for the standard plastic or cardboard spools.
A short video you'll find on YouTube.
More on that device you'll find on my Discord server.
