Cable holder Zeiss-Standard-20 Student version.stl
I’ve designed a cable holder for the Zeiss Standard 20 microscope. It attaches to the back of the microscope and provides 45 mm of cable-wrapping depth. This helps keep things tidy, as the cable is otherwise typically wrapped around the entire microscope. The design allows for fast storage, keeping the cable organized against the back when plugged in.
I recommend this version if you use the microscope with students. It allows for fast wrapping . If you are the sole user of this microscope, I’d suggest using my other, more tidier version instead.
Mounting instructions: To install the holder, you’ll need to remove the back panel of the microscope, which contains the electronics. Place the penal face down on a flat surface, with the inner side facing down. You will see that the transformer is secured with four screws. Remove these screws, align the cable holder over the existing screw holes, and reinsert the screws to fasten it in place.
You may optionally use screws that are 1 mm longer, but in most cases, the original screws will suffice.
PS the model is free to use but if you wone thank me I always in need of coffee
