Kemono Kigurumi Dog Mask Base

Base mask for a kemono/kigurumi fursuit head, vaguely styled after a canine.

Sculpted in Blender. STL and .blend files included. Dimensions in millimetres. Also added "fixed" STL that has already been loaded into PrusaSlicer, scaled, and rotated to fit on the print bed as shown in the preview images.

Some different eye inserts are included, which you can print separately and attach. There is also a combined "with eyes" mesh that includes circular eyes as a part of the mask itself, which may be more beginner friendly.

You may also want to edit the .blend file to increase the thickness of the mask. You can find the thickness option under the "Solidify" modifier, then re-export as an STL.

For attachment to your head, use cord or ribbon. You can measure enough to go around your head, then make two strips of that length and attach them to the sides of the mask. Hot glue works well. Then you can position the mask over your face, pull the cord or ribbons back, and make a knot behind your head. Or you can edit the file to come up with your own solution.

You may also want to put a piece of foam in the middle of the forehead section, so it's not resting right up against your face.

Snout mask based on the muzzle of a fox, complete with a mouth and nose. Suitable as the basis for a fox or other canine costume. Could be worn as-is, or in combination with "ears" and/or face paint.

Scaled to fit larger adult heads, but you may want to do a test print to confirm fit and scale accordingly.

For attachment to your head, you can attach cord or ribbon. Hot glue works well. Ideally you will want four roughly equal strips, that you can attach to the corners of the mask, leaving you with a chin strap and a strap you can tie around the back of your head.

Moving Beak Mask by Perihelion Prints

This beak mask can open and close, with the help of two elastic bands and a bit of hardware.

Scaled to fit medium to large adult heads.

If your head is a bit on the smaller side, try scaling it down by 10-15% in the vertical/Z direction and trying a test print. The most important parts are how it fits around your nose, how much space it leaves on the sides of your face, and how it fits around your chin. It should be fairly comfortable, without pinching your nose or the sides of your face, and you should be able to open it fairly wide by moving your jaw. Although it takes a bit to make it move, it won't open and close through normal regular-volume speech.

For attachment to head, use elastic cord or ribbon. Hot glue should work. For fitting, place the mask on your face, lining it up with your nose. Measure how much ribbon you'll need to go around your head, then add a bit more and cut two equal halves. Glue one to each side of the mask, and use the leftover length to tie both pieces into a knot or bow behind or head. Or you can edit the file to come up with your own solution.

When the jaw is open, your mouth will be visible. If this isn't what you want, you could try wearing a neck gaiter over your mouth and nose, or adding some opaque fabric to the interior of the mask, giving it enough slack so it doesn't tear when the jaw opens. You may also experiment with wearing a disposable face mask underneath, but it seems like anything that covers your chin affects your ability to open and close the mask. Ultimately some experimentation may be necessary to come to an ideal solution.

For assembly, you'll need two small (or medium-sized) thin elastic bands, as well as some kind of 3mm bolts or screws.

Recommended to use two M3x6mm screws. Please note that the upper part should go on top of the lower part, with its screw hole protrusions sticking out as shown.

The elastics will go between the two sets of pegs on the inside of the printed pieces. If you have a shorter elastic, as long as you can still open the jaw, you can just keep it between the pegs. Otherwise you may be able to use the screw head as a third peg, as shown in the pictures.

It's possible after extended use that you'll wear out the holes and the screws will fall out. In that case you can experiment with slightly longer screws and some M3 nuts to keep them in place. You could also use any kind of 3mm spacer, or print a small 3mm cylinder to fit in the holes.

Ideally you will want to make a strap around your neck and another above your ears, as shown in the pictures. Measure how much ribbon you'l need to go around your neck from the bottom of the mask, then add a bit more and cut two equal halves. Glue one to each side of the mask, and use the leftover length to tie both pieces into a knot/bow behind your head. Repeat this process for the ear straps.

You may want to put a piece of foam on the inside of the mask, so it doesn't hurt your nose. You may also want to scale the mask down in the X axis by 5-10% if you have a narrower face.

Based on Makomo's mask from the anime/manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, this set of 12 kitsune masks are suitable as part of a costume or for display.

When worn for a costume, they are scaled to cover your entire face, or sit on top of your head as shown. Feel free to accessorize with ribbons, tassels, etc.

The set includes 6 designs with flowers, and 6 designs without flowers in the bottom-left corner. The designs with flowers have them embossed, so they should be visible without painting. Otherwise you can decorate them to your heart's content.

If you cannot fit it all on the print bed at once (always ideal if you can print in one piece) slicers like PrusaSlicer have the ability to cut the model in pieces for you, so you can print them separately and glue them together later. It may not seem ideal, but especially if you're painting the model after printing, the seam may not be that visible. But cutting the model and being able to print it upright instead of on an angle may save you ~10h of print time, as shown above.

This Japanese-inspired half-face fox mask is a minimalistic representation of a kitsune mask. In Japanese fokelore, the kitsune is a type of yōkai spirit in the form of a fox.

A fascinating creature embodying the crafty, cunning, playful, and sometimes wise attributes of the fox, an older kitsune is also said to be able to take on human form. Some tales warn that a lone woman travelling at night may be such a creature in disguise...

This masquerade mask, with avian touches like feathers and a beak, is perfect for a masquerade party, Mardi Gras celebration, or as part of a bird costume. Scaled to fit most adult heads.

For attachment to head, use elastic cord or ribbon. For fitting, place the mask on your face, lining it up with your nose. Measure how much ribbon you'll need to go around your head, then add a bit more and cut two equal halves. Tie a knot at the end of each piece of cord, or glue one to each side of the mask, and use the leftover length to tie both pieces into a knot/bow behind or head. Or you can edit the file to come up with your own solution.

Sculpted in Blender. STL and .blend files included. Dimensions in millimetres.

Be especially careful with the first few layers, since the lowest feathers need the most support. After about the beak, it's mostly a solid object up until the feathers at the top. If necessary, print in parts and glue together (as shown).

Paint recommended for best results. A base coat, followed by finishing touches on the eyes/beak/feathers works well. Using a thick brush to dab around the eyes can give a "smoky" effect, and the individual feathers can be highlighted with a paint pen, etc.

The materials of the feathers, beak, and mask base are technically separated in the Blender model, allowing for multi-colour print if your printer supports that, and you can figure out how to export it to a compatible format. Although this has not yet been tested.
