This is a big lamp! you'll need 250mm (X, Y, and Z) build plate in order to print this. For the shade I used natural colored PETG from Bambu, and it turned out great. I'm sure PLA would work well too.
3MF file for the shade is attached in addition to STLs for both pieces.
For the bulb socket I use an old IKEA Hemma I had laying around. It looks like IKEA discontinued the HEMMA that terminates in a wall plug, but there are many similar E26 socket kits on amazon. It looks like this would work, although I haven't personally tested it.
As long as the pendant kit meets these requirements, then it should work:
- Outer Diameter of Threads <1.675"
- Shoulder of pendant (cord side) >1.675" and <1.94"
- Outer Diameter of collar ring >1.675"
To avoid wasting material, I'd suggest chopping up these models in the slicer and only printing the portions that interface with the pendant kit before printing the entire lamp. That way you can ensure the model will work for you before committing A LOT of material.
Be cautious with scaling this lamp. Scaling in the Z-dimension is okay, but scaling in X and Y will change the dimensions of the features that interface with the pendant kit.
Enjoy!
