Modular Filter Box for 120mm fan - laser engraver, soldering etc.

I designed this so I would have a modular filter box for 120mm fans. I use them on my laser engraver and soldering smoke extractor. It is made so that you can add more passes of filtration as needed. You can add a filter to the inner chamber for 1st pass filtration, the 2nd pass filtration is the second chamber - where the carbon cartridge goes, and there is a smaller 3rd pass filter on the cap. A gasket STL is included, if needed. I use these boxes on several devices where I use a 120mm fan. It is a perfect bolt-on fit for this design I made:

Note - if you use silica instead of carbon you will need to remix and make the holes on the charcoal insert to make them smaller. I prefer activated carbon as it works much better and is much cheaper.

I use activated carbon pellets in the insert and activated carbon panels like these in the first chamber. It works great for reducing toxic emissions and odor from laser engraving and soldering.
