Magnetic Soldering Clamp Stand with Articulating "Helping Hands"
bymotolupo2022This is a repost - some people encountered problems with downloading the STL files and I couldn't determine the cause of the problem, so I am re-uploading everything.
I designed this as a companion piece to the Dual Fan Smoke Extractor I made, which can be found on here. It is made to be used with alligator clips, but you can modify it to your liking, of course. You can use with one link and end link or as many as you like. I heated the base of the alligator clips and forced them into the end link pieces and they are plenty snug. Very helpful for holding wire stationary when you are soldering. The bottom insert has three sections for inserting small neodymium magnets with cyanoacrylate, if you need to attach the base firmly to a metal tabletop, etc. Very handy little creature. The top insert is removable to so you can get rid of those little solder blobs and flux splatters. The base and top are printed in PLA at 25% triangular infill, the three insert pieces and printed in TPU 95A.
