Made for the [JBL Boombox 3](https://www.jbl.com/bluetooth-speakers/BOOMBOX-3-.html) model with aux input, not the [wifi model](https://www.jbl.com/wifi-speakers/BOOMBOX-3-WIFI.html), but who knows, it may fit. 

**Why**
I intend to use the boombox outside for a few hours with 120V AC power cable attached along with an 3.5 aux cable. Documentation states that you get more power to the speakers when it is powered vs on battery. I wanted a modicum of rain resistance, so thus the world's first-it-just-may-work rear port cover was created. 

**Tips**
- You can modify the fusion 360 file. There are some _user parameters_ to adjust the height and width and aux port diameter. You can fine tune the cutouts more on the Cutouts Sketch.
- Dimensions are a bit large to ensure the TPU has a nice friction fit.
- If you want the full cover with no cutouts, adjust the file or use your slicer to add a block or two to fill in the cutouts, no Fusion 360 needed.

**Warnings**
- Not tested with real rain rejection ability (yet). That said, I'll gamble with mine. Wish me luck.
- If you cook your JBL Boombox 3 due to rain intrusion, use it as a doorstop. It'll look cool.
- If you burn your house down or get electrocuted, call emergency services and then post so we can all laugh.

**Overview**
A ear-cup attachment arm pseudo-replacement for the Monoprice BT-600ANC Bluetooth Over Ear Headphones. Note, this is only the arm and clamp that "wrap" the ~9mm cylindrical mount point on the headphones. If that cylindrical mount point is damaged, this is not the model for you. _Not for commercial use._

**Limitations**
I'm terming this as a "pseudo-replacement" as the design has modifications that doesn't stay faithful to the original part:

- Arm is glued onto the ear cup and does not angle-pivot (but still rotates where it attaches to the band).
- Ear cup signal wire is not encased in the control arm. This is partially for strength. The OEM arm's pivot point that has the wire running through it remains attached in it original position as I didn't want to risk damage extricating it from the headphone ear cup.
- Aesthetics okay, but not sure I'd wear it in public.
-Some flatness in certain areas to allow easier printing.

**Modifications to Fit Your Melon**
Since the attachment arm is glued to the ear cup at a permanent fixed angle, you'll want it to match the angle of the other side of the headphones.

Unsure if this will make too much of a difference, but I approximated the angle by using a mirror, digital angle finder, and some guesswork. In the Fusion360 file, there is a Bracket->Ear Angle Cutter sketch (see photo) that you can adjust to control the surface angle which is glued to the headphone ear cup in attempt to fit your head.

**Notes**
- There's about .2mm of tolerance in the fitment of the rotation mount.
- I used some 1.5mm x 12mm (I think) hex bolts. You could probably modify the model to work with the OEM screws.
- I'm still learning Fusion360 and the part is quite persnickety, so model is a bit piecemeal. The slicer is used to meld the main arm with the pivot point. I'm sure a pro can make it much better.
- There's some imperfections, but they'll be hidden from view and generally don't impact the slicer.
- Feels nice on the head. I cannot tell the difference between the OEM condition and the fix.

**Why**
Original product's plastic arm is very brittle. This was more of a design workaround challenge.

**Instructions**
Print a handful. Mount [spider cob webbing](https://www.amazon.com/TAOMOCO-Halloween-Decorations-Super-Spiders-Decorations/dp/B08FWX2M1L) grabber/snaggler with [double-sided adhesive tape](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0796R7XYD/) to smooth object and then snag your webbing. Photo shows a 4" PVC pipe which is too smooth to grab the webbing without assistance.

Modeled to mount a simple pin actuator micro limit switch flush with a surface. Designed for use with M3 bolts and nuts to affix the switch to the mount. #8 screws are used to affix the mount to the surface (in my case wood for a cabinet door switch to activate LED lighting). You may have to super glue the nut into the recess. 16mm is the minimum length of M3 bolt to use.

**Backstory**
I frequently use my Bora Edge Clamp to cut plywood on the floor while suspended on a 3/4" thick sheet of foam insulation board. However, the clamp's handle is too long to pivot into the proper position to firmly hold the edge clamp against the workpiece because it runs into the floor.

**Sizes**
This replacement clamp handle will pivot fully vertical to apply the proper clamping pressure.

**Pin Hole Diameter Tweaking**
Since every printer isn't the same, I'd suggest printing some hole fitment test jigs so the metal pin fits snugly then use the supplied Fusion 360 files to adjust the handle's hole. The steel pin is .155 inches in diameter. I settled on 0.166 inch for the hold diameter for my use case.

**Clamp Handle Disassembly**
To remove the pin, first engage the clamp handle fully. Use a pair of locking pliers to hold the rod from retracting at the opposite end of the clamp. Remove pin with nail and hammer, supporting where necessary. Replace handle and hammer pin into position carefully.
