This is a sample sign from my larger collection of utility signs available to all logicalplanet members. In case you do not know, 3D printers with an AMS can produce very high quality signs. Give this one a try.

This sign can be printed in any colors you choose. It features a single-sided graphic on a durable substrate. The elements are grouped by color for quick setup in your slicer. An AMS or similar multi-filament system is required for multi-color printing.

If you have a multi-filament printer, 3D-printed signs offer a strong, flexible, durable, and customizable alternative to commercial signs at a lower cost.

Scaling Notes

  • Use non-uniform scaling for the X and Y axes only.
  • Avoid scaling the Z-axis unless increasing in multiples of your layer height (0.2mm).

Print Instructions

  1. Import the model into your slicer (sign is oriented face down).
  2. Set the colors for each object/component.
  3. Group or merge objects to prevent misalignment.
  4. Scale, flip, or rotate as desired.

General Notes

  • Designed for a 0.2mm layer height.
  • Sign thickness is 1.0mm.
  • Always group or merge components before scaling.
  • Print face down for a smooth finish on the front.
  • ASA is recommended for outdoor signs.

Slicer Compatibility Some slicer warnings can be ignored when printing:

  • Empty layers.
  • Conflicts in G-code paths.
  • Floating regions or unsupported runs.
