Logical DeskBox A
Desk clutter builds up quickly — pens, earbuds, glasses, sticky notes, charging cables, and all the small items you reach for every day.
Logical DeskBox is a compact, modular desk organizer designed to keep everyday desk essentials neatly stored, easy to access, and simple to move when needed.
DeskBox A is the smallest size in the DeskBox lineup and is offered as a free starter model, making it an easy way to try the system and see how it fits into your workspace.
What It Is
Logical DeskBox is a snap-together, fully 3D-printed desk organizer with a hinged upper tray and a main storage compartment below.
The upper tray keeps frequently used items visible and within reach, while the lower compartment stores bulkier or less frequently used desk items — all neatly contained in one compact unit.
How It Works
The upper tray pivots open smoothly, providing access to both storage levels.
When closed, DeskBox keeps desk essentials contained and visually tidy.
Because everything is held in a single unit, DeskBox can be easily picked up and moved without disturbing its contents — ideal for flexible or shared workspaces.
Works With Logical CableNest
DeskBox can be used entirely on its own or paired with a matching-width Logical CableNest, which is designed to sit securely beneath it.
- DeskBox organizes everyday desk items
- CableNest contains power adapters and cable clutter
Each component also works independently, allowing you to expand your setup over time.
Size & Variants
DeskBox A is the smallest width in the DeskBox system and is intended as an easy entry point.
All DeskBox models share the same:
- Depth: 136 mm
- Height: 66 mm
Available widths (small → large):
- A – Small (this free starter size) 184mm wide
- B – Medium 216mm wide
- C – Large 248mm wide
- D – Extra Large 280mm wide
Each DeskBox size has a corresponding CableNest designed to match it.
This download contains DeskBox A only. Other sizes are available separately.
Printing & Assembly

- No fasteners required
- Snap-together design
- Designed to be disassembled if needed
- Assembly is identical across all sizes
Clear assembly, disassembly, and usage diagrams are included.
Why DeskBox Exists
DeskBox was designed for people who want intentional desk organization without committing to a permanent setup.
DeskBox A makes it easy to get started — organize the essentials, try the system, and scale up if you need more storage later.

Revisions and Updates
I occasionally update and revise my designs. When I do, I’ll document the changes here. Check back periodically for the latest revision notes or if you’re experiencing any issues with a model. 2026-01-25: I originally posted this with the wrong tray STL. The correct one is now in this download. My apologies to all who printed the wrong one.

Did I not mention it is also a puzzle? Haha. Your print looks excellent, though.
The latches on my box won’t slide and the rear arm hinges disconnect from the tray when I try closing or opening it fully. Maybe I could print an insert for the tray; that you put in after connecting the 3 arm points on each side, with flaps sticking out of the connector holes in the tray below the arm joints to stop them from falling out.
Can you email me some photos to logicalplanet3d Gmail.com. And did you pry the latches as described in the instructions?
I pried them some and they are functioning now they just stick; one of them requires me to push on it with some leverage to move, but they'll lose up more over time I guess. For the arms, I detached the tray and wiggled each arm back and forth a bunch until they were mostly smooth through their range of motion and that seems to have resolved the rear two arms detaching on each side of the inner tray for the most part. Great print! This is the first of your models I have tried.
Great. Glad to hear you resolved it. I find that if you slide the latches back and forth about 10 times, they get nice and smooth. You could also add a drop of lubricant if you want them even looser.
Imagine the tray thats inside would be deattachable with some neodym Magnets so you could take it out AND put it Back via magnets!
Also found out (the hard way) that the tray is to long. Think it's from model B or C.
I am so sorry, I mixed up two trays. I have corrected the download now and it contains the correct tray. My apologies.
Hi - thanks for the model. However, it seems that the tray is to big for this box. It is much wider the tray is about 198 mm wide.
Thanks Carl
