This is a simple handy kitchen tool for stripping herbs off their stems. Now I know…. you do not need a tool for this, you can just use your fingers. But if you are doing a volume of stems, you will definitely appreciate this tool.

This is a very effective tool for most garden herbs. I love to dry my garden herbs for the winter and this tool makes that a lot easier. This is a print-in-place compliant design that prints easily with no support and is useable right off the print bed. Just be sure to use a food-safe material.

I included a range of hole sizes to hopefully accommodate whatever herbs anyone needs to process. But if you find you need a different size please let me know.

100% printed - no hardware, fasteners, or adhesives required. No support is required.

Print Settings:

Material = Food grade PETG, any material should work.
Nozzle = 0.4mm Layer height = 0.2mm Line width = 0.4mm Wall count = 4 (1.6mm) Top and Bottom Layer Count = 5 Infill = minimum 40% Cubic Ironing = Not required Brim = No Support = No

Oh, sorry to hear that. Those symptoms generally suggest over extrusion. I have printed the part on 3 different printers and in both PLA and petg. All without issues. There is a 0.2mm gap between the bridge and the lower surface. If you are printing 0.4mm layer heights that might close up. Also, sorry for stating the obvious, but make sure “supports” is off.

Cool idea, I tried to print this though and the curved plastic rod that keeps the two sides aligned was modeled so tightly that when my printer closed the channel off, it welded the two pieces together and they couldn't close. I tried to break the connection but I ended up bending them instead. I probably need to find better bridge settings but in my slicer, the top of the channel begins printing on the very next layer after the curved rod finishes, which I find odd.
