This is hopefully my final design for X1 Series and P1S venting. This version is similar to my earlier version (https://than.gs/m/1125125) but this one allows for the Multi-AMS adapter to be installed by having more space behind the funnel.

This exhaust capture system is designed for the X1 Series and P1S. This system captures the exhaust from the exhaust fan and pulls air from the top of the machine.

The idea is to capture the VOCs from the fan port and from the top of the machine at the same time, and then vent all of that away from the machine when desired.

This exhaust capture system is compatible with the AMS and sits on top of the machine (under the glass). It lifts the glass up 20mm to create space for an exhaust port and it reaches down the back of the machine to capture the exhaust fans output. You then attach an exhaust hose to the top to remove all exhaust. You can use my variable flow valve to block or open the exhaust flow. And, use my quick-release head so that you can easily remove the exhaust hose at any time.

The entire system is removable at any time. All parts are printable on the P1S and require no support.

This package includes the optional large poop bin from my previous release.

See my blog for more details and other product info… https://www.logicalplanet.com/

The Quick Release Head is part of an entire system of exhaust parts that you may want to be aware of. Please check it out here.... https://www.logicalplanet.com/2024/02/11/quick-connect-exhaust/ Those STLs are available here... https://than.gs/m/1008664

I have posted a thru-wall series of components to work with the exhaust system. It is posted here... https://than.gs/m/1206813

Also, I have a Variable Flow Valve that you can also incorporate into the system which is described here... https://www.logicalplanet.com/2024/03/05/variable_flow_valve/

The LED lighting support bars allow you to install an adhesive-backed LED lighting strip into the top of your machine for additional internal lighting. I designed it for this lighting strip but anything similar should work. I have included some small slots for zip ties in case the adhesive on the back of the lighting fails.

100% printed - no additional hardware required. No additional support is required.

Printing

Material: I recommend PETG for the exhaust hose side and PLA for the components that contact the printer. But everything can be done in PLA or PETG.

My Setup: Nozzle = 0.4mm

My Settings: Layer height = 0.2mm Line width = 0.4mm Wall count = 4 (1.6mm) Infill = 40% Ironing = ON

Support: Designed to print without support.

Assembly Notes

Once printed, the frame simply rests on the top of the machine's frame (under the glass). It can be removed at any time. The Exhaust Fan cover requires seven 10x3mm magnets to hold it in place.
