This model is an insert for a 1x3 Gridfinity bin that can hold any kind of small item for ready access. Printed from a flexible filament, the slots can confirm to allow you to store the tools you are currently using rather than cluttering your workspace.
This model is inspired by silicon-topped craft or makeup brush holders, like these: https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/simon-says-stamp-multi-purpose-tool-storage-st0033-1 Now you can have this style tool holder in Gridfinity!
This model was designed for a 42mm deep bin. The model has an inset around the rim that mates with the ridge of the empty bin, to help keep it in place.
You can modify the model to print a holder of any depth. I found that the depth of the insert needs to be just slightly shorter than the depth of the bin, or pushing the tools in can pull the insert out of place.
I also find that a taller bin works better because the the tools are top-heavy and will cause the bin to fall over. If your bins use magnets or are screwed into the baseplate, then you can probably use a shorter bin.
